Service Terms
ORDER ACCEPTANCE & PROCESSING POLICY: The total
cost of your order is quoted on our “Pre-Production Approval” (PPA). It
includes the charges per piece, freight, screen charges, art charges,
and the cost of any other options or services needed to successfully
deliver your order. We ask that products be ordered in case pack
quantities, however, if exact quantities are required there is a 5% fee
(based on ware cost). Due to quality control issues, please allow for a
5% over or under run on all purchases. Orders cannot be processed,
production cannot be scheduled and the production time required does
not start until all order specifications are known, all terms have been
met and production ready artwork has been submitted. All orders are
subject to acceptance at the factory.
SUMMARY OF CHARGES FOR SERVICES:
- SCREEN CHARGES: Initial orders only: each design,
each size, and each color - $40.00

- ART CHARGES: $60.00 per hour, minimum of $15.00
- PMS COLOR MATCHES: Colors requiring special mixing
- $50.00 per color or $25.00 per color as close as possible
- COLOR CHANGES: $10.00 for a “same set up” color
change.
- DECALS: Will be quoted upon seeing artwork. For
more information, see “DECORATING WITH DECALS” paragraph below.
- PROOFS: (treated as a separate order) $50.00 per
color + the cost of the screen(s) + the cost of the ware.
- RUSH JOBS: Next Business Day (Red Tag Service) is
available for a special price, 1 color imprints only, up to 2,400
pieces. 5 Day Service (Blue Tag Service) is available at our normal low
price + a $35.00 rush charge.
- FREIGHT: FOB Shipping Point. Freight is always
quoted upon acknowledgement of your order. Advance quoted upon your
request. NOTE: Freight charges are based on delivery to business addresses. Charges do not include any Special Services such as inside delivery. Please let us know if a lift gate, or other services, are required during placement of your order.
- OVER PACKING: Standard with UPS shipments - $4.00
per small carton; $5.00 per large carton.
- DROP SHIPMENTS: To one address – no additional
charges; multiple addresses - $5.00 per address + freight charges to
each.
- SECOND SIDE IMPRINTS: No additional charges, except
when precious metals or decals are used.
ARTWORK REQUIREMENTS / DETAILS OF CHARGES & SERVICES:
- The quality of your artwork determines the quality of the
imprint. If you do not have suitable production ready copy (see artwork
requirements below) or have special needs, our art department can
create or modify imprints to your specifications at very competitive
rates.
- ARTWORK REQUIREMENTS: Imprint artwork is required
in a production ready form sized in the proper proportions to to fit
the designated imprint area (the maximum imprint dimenstions are
specified on the product page). Please forward your artwork to artwork@artonimp.com.
- ACCEPTABLE ART FORMATS:
- Vector Art: PDF
(preferred format), EPS, Adobe Illustrator - AI, CorelDraw - CDR.
- Raster Art: PDF or TIFF at final imprint size.
- UNACCEPTABLE ART FORMATS:
PowerPoint, Word, Excel, Publisher,
JPEG, GIF, WMF, Scans of logo,
letterhead or business cards, Page layout files (Quark, PageMaker,
InDesign). These formats will incur cleanup charges. This is not a
comprehensive list, rather a list of the most common unacceptable
formats.
- ARTWORK REVISIONS: If revisions are
required, we will advise you of additional charges before proceeding
with your order. Artwork revisions are billed at a rate of $60.00 per
hour with a $12.50 minimum charge.
- COLOR MATCHING: Colors may be selected from our
standard palette or may be specified by providing a PMS# or color
sample. Be aware that colors appear differently when printed over
clear, white or colored ware. If we cannot match a requested color from
our standard palette, you will be notified. PMS matches cost $50.00 on
your initial order only.
- NAME DROPS & PERSONALIZING: Unless a “name
drop” is included in the design being printed, it will be charged as an
extra color. Personalization is available for a fee. (Please call for a
quote.)
- DECORATING WITH DECALS: When it is necessary to
decorate using decals (due to difficult shapes, close registration or
the number of colors), you will be notified. Decorating with decals is
usually more expensive and time consuming than direct printing. A
“production proof” is required when using decals. Prices on decals
cannot be quoted until our Customer Service Department has received the
artwork.
- PRODUCTION PROOFS: Exact samples of your printed
ware can be produced for a $50.00 fee per color + cost of ware +
applicable screen charges. If the proof is approved, there will be no
additional screen charges when we produce your order. Decal proof costs
must be quoted.
ORDER PROCESSING & PRODUCTION TIME: We have 3
levels of service.
- “NEXT BUSINESS DAY” (Red Tag Service) is available
on selected items. 1 standard color only, up to 2,400 pieces. Art must
be “production ready” and terms must already exist. Your payment must
accompany the order unless terms exist and payments are current. Red
Tag Orders must be in our hands with all terms and conditions met, ware
available, and the PPA returned by noon one day to be shipped the next
business day. A $100.00 rush fee is added to produce your order.
- “5 DAY SERVICE (Blue Tag Service) is available on
all “in stock” items with a 1 color imprint. Art must be “screen ready”
and terms must already exist and your payments up-to-date or your
payment must accompany the order. Blue Tag Orders must be in our hands
with all terms and conditions met and the PPA returned by noon one day
to be shipped by the end of the day 5 business days later. A $35.00
rush fee is added to produce your order.
- “NORMAL SERVICE” (2 to 3 weeks Service) is
available on all “in stock” items with a 1 color imprint. Multi-color
imprints and special ware may take longer. Orders requiring decal
production take 3 to 6 weeks or longer.
EVENT RELATED ORDERS:
On time delivery is guaranteed when you inform us of the
event at order placement. When we have your order and “production
ready” art you will receive a PPA. The PPA states all terms,
specifications, and dates related to your order. Please review it
carefully and, if correct, sign and return it to us at once. Your order
cannot be produced until we receive your signed PPA. If anything is
incorrect on the PPA, call us immediately so it can be corrected and a
new PPA sent.
AVAILABLE STANDARD IMPRINT COLORS (PMS # IS APPROXIMATE):
#662, #286, #302, #349, #355, #321, #202, #185, #165, #394, #115, #131,
#469, #7, black, white, etch. Precious metal colors: gold, copper &
paladium.
FREIGHT: All shipments are FOB shipping point unless
other arrangements are made in advance. We ship via UPS or Common
Carrier. We always quote the lowest available price. We will be happy
to ship freight collect. Shipments are made in original case packs
unless additional packing (over packing) is needed to ensure safe
delivery. When shipping UPS or when we deem necessary, we “over pack”
unless notified otherwise by our customer. When the customer chooses
not to use the “over packs” they assume the risk of breakage in
transit. UPS may or may not pay the claims. When Next Day Air and other
premium freight services are requested, the charges must be paid in
advance unless you have established terms with us and payment is
up-to-date. We must be notified if delivery destination is
“residential,” “business inside a residential neighborhood,” or “2nd
floor delivery.” Additional charges apply for these delivery
destinations.
NOTE: All damages for freight claims must be noted
on the “Bill of Lading” or “Delivery Receipt” when merchandise is
received. If damages are not noted, we cannot guarantee your claim will
be paid.
